If you are familiar at all with our work and have browsed photo galleries, then you know we absolutely adore black and white portraits. As soon as we met Jenni and Oscar for their engagement session they told us about the bar in the home that inspired their dapper looks. The theme was a modern vintage edge with black and white images in mind, so obviously we got excited. Then when we saw their outfits they were completely all black and white. Jenni’s hair had a touch of Grace Kelly flair and my heart pretty much started dancing! In fact, Jenni actually got her Loft pantsuit from a clothing swap! I’m truly smitten by their sense of style and savvy shopping skills. The location, their outfits and style worked so well together!
This session was something they envisioned and I’m thrilled that they entrusted us to bring their vision to life. I loved this part of the session so much and its uniqueness that I believed it deserved a post all on its own. Enjoy part l! Come back tomorrow for part ll of their engagement session. Which may or may not include the cutest pup named Monster! Make sure you check out some of the color shots from this shoot at the end of the post!!!!
Even thought this whole portion of their shoot was intended with these black and white photos in mind, the color ones are still just stunning! I love the rich tones of Jenni’s lipstick and it showcases beautiful with a hit of blue and gold tones to contrast. Let me know what you guys think in the comments! Do you like the photos in only black and white or do you love the tones and pop of color!
