When we were planning our wedding we started with Austin's suit (That's Austin in the gray suit on our wedding day). Yep that's right, before we picked colors or location or even a venue, we found his tie. A. Black. Tie. It was also really important to Austin to find the perfect tie for his little bro Ian to wear.
It started simply, really. It all began with a Black Tie and it's also a promise to you...
When we were brain storming what to call our business we decided to look to our wedding for inspiration. We both kept coming back to his tie. We knew we wanted our work to reflect the qualities of what the tie represented to us. It had clean lines, modern and yet classic. Simply timeless. It was a lot harder to find a tie for Ian, but when we did it was perfect. Little did we know at that time that he wouldn't be with us much longer. Later on, after Ian had passed and we were helping Austin's family sort through Ian's room. We found a shoe box and inside was a few treasured items of his. And in that box was his black bow tie.
Our promise to you: "We will do our best to preserve moments from your wedding day. From the moment he sees you walking down the aisle to when you leave for the night and all the moments in between. Including the ones you experience and the ones you missed, like mom wiping a tear from her eye to the joy and love from your guests. When you open up your wedding album or watch your wedding video we want you to relive the day and feel the love."
Now, Ian's tie is sets in a shadow box in our office. Austin and I both lost our fathers at a young age. A first dance with my father is something I will never get to experience. We know the importance of capturing your love but also the love of those around you, your family, friends and support system.
