Ian and Anna opted for a first look and it took place in front of the fountain in the courtyard at Oakleaf Plantation.

Ian & Anna, airplanes, history, books, DC comics, sushi, Netflix, two beautiful humans inside and out who went out together and saw Justice League and after the movie he asked Anna if she would be his Superwoman. (cheesy but sweet) 🙂 They tied the knot just down the street from their adorable town home at the Wedding Hall at Oakleaf Plantation in Orange Park Florida . In true Florida fashion, it rained all that week and even the morning of their wedding day. But they ended up with a sweet fairy tale day when the weather let up just in time.

During the reception, the love birds had their traditional dances with their parents but there were a few key moments that stood out to me. During the father-daughter dance, I noticed Christie and Kevin, the bride’s sister and brother in-law, watching intently. Christie was getting a little emotional, Anna is her baby sister after all. But I kept glancing over and I saw Kevin embracing Christie, it was one of those protective bear hugs from behind, there was just so much love and emotion that you could just feel the support and care that he had for his wife. There was another moment during the groom and mother’s dance. Anna walked over to both of them and they just had the sweetest group hug that melted my heart. Anna’s sister is a photographer as well, and she helped Anna plan every detail.
Christie was actually the one who reached out to us initially! It was important for her to be by the side of her sister then behind the camera. She’s a wonderful photographer and it was a privilege that she trusted us to capture these moments for sister and family. Austin and I are forever grateful and honored when other fellow creatives trust us, it’s not to be taken lightly, just a great privilege to be welcomed into the family.

After Ian dance with his mom, Michelle, she walked over to the DJ and grabbed a mic. She proceeded to thank everyone for being there and the support for the couple and then she starting reading her notes in Spanish! She learned and practice a little bit of Spanish to speak to Anna’s parents and tell them how wonderful of a woman she was and that she couldn’t be happier to have her as a daughter-in-law. GUYS… I WAS DEAD!! I was just a puddle of mush after that. So stinking sweet and heartfelt for Michelle to do that.
